More about Beylikduzu Area
Beylikdüzü is one of the districts in the west of Istanbul. To the south is the Sea of Marmara, to the east is the Avcilar region, to the west is the Buyuk Çekmece region, and to the north is the Essenyurt region, and in 2008 it became an independent region. It covers an area of three hundred and sixty square kilometers and has a population of about three hundred thousand people. This area is approximately 12 km long along the coastline of the Sea of Marmara. From ancient times the Ottoman emperors came to this region to spend their summer days. For this reason, this region is called Beylikduzu , meaning the place of the emperors.
After the Marmara earthquake in 1999, there was a large migration from Istanbul to the Beylikdüzü district, which led to the expansion of the area and the replacement of old buildings with new ones. The second wave of migration has taken place after the construction of the Metrobus special line.
Since most of the population in this area is the result of migration and most of the newly established residential areas, this area welcomes people with open arms. The population of this area has recently increased significantly and has become a center for attracting investment, and among other areas of Istanbul, it has benefited the most from investors.
Residents of the Bilikduzu area can use taxis and public transportation such as the metrobus to access different parts of the city and reach their destination in the shortest possible time.
